Small Block Sizes
Summary
Smaller blocks allow more variation in in normal pedestrian footpaths (see image). It also increases the total number of intersections, which are more viable places for business activity. The end result is a more walkable city and more unique shops and restaurants, which both fit well into Jane Jacobs' model for community based development.
